| Silurian Built in the 80’s as a fishing boat in response to the fuel crisis. However fishermen didn’t really take to sailing! She’s a 30 ton, 56 foot, Spookum Ketch. The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust bought her from a couple who were trying to run Environmental expeditions with her 17 years ago. In previous lives she sailed the high seas as a drug smuggling vessel and was the vessel used by Blue Planet 1 to sail the high seas filming. |
